          Tucked away in the hills of East Tennessee. In the heart of The Model City. And only 30 minutes away from world famous Bristol Motor Speedway, sits us. Kingsport Speedway! A .375 concrete oval known for putting competitors to the test with its tight, sweeping corners, moderate banking, unique character and concrete surface! It's part of why the track has become known as "The Concrete Jungle!" And to top it all off, Kingsport Speedway is the ONLY NASCAR sanctioned weekly track in the state of Tennessee! Attracting big names and star power all through the track's history!

 

     Iconic names of NASCAR like Petty, Earnhardt, Jack Ingram. And drivers of today such as Layne Riggs and Chad Finchum have challenged and conquered The Concrete Jungle. The Speedway even held NASCAR Cup Series events before the modern era (learn more in History/Records)

     With Kingsport being a part of The Tri Cities area, and just minutes from the Virginia state line. This puts Kingsport Speedway within a short drive many other attractions in the area, such as the previously mentioned Bristol Motor Speedway, Warriors Path State Park, and more!! But on Friday nights from March-September, we are THE place to be!!

     Kingsport Speedway provides 16 weeks of heart stopping action from Seven different divisions. Some staples of grassroots racing. Some unique to the Kingsport Speedway experience! And with the track's switch to Cobra Racing Tires in 2023, and a points format that promotes tight points battles. Kingsport Speedway provides some of the most exciting short track racing there is to offer! We also offer multiple Special Events during the season. Such as our annual late model invitational, Cobra Tires: King of The Concrete Jungle. And the smash hit Tour of Destruction. In short, there is always action for everyone at this short track!
